Our German and Russian program provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their language(s) of study.
During the first, second, and final years, learners will enroll in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. They may also choose interdisciplinary modules from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) and SSEES, exploring connections between literature, film, linguistics, and history.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the chosen languages are native. Students attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of whether they begin as beginners or with prior knowledge.
