Our German and Hungarian program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and intercultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse modules covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will undertake language courses in their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also includes interdisciplinary offerings from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) and SSEES, encompassing literary studies, film analysis, linguistics, and historical examinations.
The third year involves studying abroad in two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning as complete beginners or with prior experience in the language.
