Our degree program in French and Serbo-Croatian provides exceptional opportunities to explore comparative and intercultural humanities studies. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, art, cinema, and other cultural aspects connected to their language studies. Throughout the first, second, and final years, participants engage in language instruction for their selected tongues alongside complementary cultural studies. The curriculum also incorporates interdisciplinary courses from SELCS and SSEES, examining literature, film, linguistics, and history through multiple lenses.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning as novices or with prior experience in their chosen languages.
