This Czech and Swedish degree program provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in humanities studies. Students can select from an extensive array of modules covering literature, linguistic heritage, historical studies, social sciences, philosophical thought, artistic traditions, cinema, and various cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language instruction for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also includes interdisciplinary offerings from SELCS, examining literary works, cinematic arts, language studies, and historical contexts through multiple lenses.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency levels, whether beginning a new language or building upon prior knowledge.
