Our Czech and Norwegian degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, art, cinema, and various cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language instruction for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, they may enroll in interdisciplinary courses from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS), exploring connections between literature, film, linguistics, and history.
The third year involves study abroad, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. Students attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of whether they begin as complete beginners or with prior knowledge of the language.
