Our Czech and Italian degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and intercultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse modules covering literature, linguistic traditions, history, sociology, philosophy, art, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will enroll in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, they may opt for interdisciplinary modules from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS), exploring literature, film, linguistics, and history through multiple lenses.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. Students attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of whether they begin as beginners or with prior experience in the language.
