Our Czech and German degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate thorough, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from a diverse array of modules covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will enroll in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also includes interdisciplinary offerings from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS), examining literature, film, linguistics, and history through multiple lenses.
The third year involves overseas study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. Learners attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of beginning as complete beginners or with prior experience.
