Our Bulgarian and Yiddish degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate thorough, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. You can select from a diverse array of courses covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to the languages you'll study. During your first, second, and final years, you'll enroll in language courses for your selected languages alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, you may choose interdisciplinary courses offered by the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) and the School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES), exploring literature, film, linguistics, and history from multiple academic viewpoints.
