Our Bulgarian and Swedish degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in humanities studies. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language instruction for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also incorporates interdisciplinary courses from SELCS and SSEES, examining literature, film, linguistics, and history through multiple lenses.
The third year features an international study experience divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning a new language or building upon prior knowledge.
