Our Bulgarian and Dutch degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will enroll in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also includes interdisciplinary modules from SELCS and SSEES, covering literary works, cinematography, language studies, and historical contexts.
The third year features an international study experience divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency levels, whether beginning as complete beginners or with prior knowledge of the language.
