This two-year postgraduate program in Nutrition and Dietetics qualifies you to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and begin your career as a licensed Allied Health Professional. You'll gain authorization to use the protected title of Dietitian, whether you pursue opportunities in the NHS, private healthcare, public health, food industry, sports nutrition, or media consulting. The program holds accreditation from the British Dietetic Association (BDA), the leading professional organization for dietitians.

Our curriculum emphasizes evidence-based practice and professional growth, developed in collaboration with local dietetic departments to support your academic and clinical development. The department is renowned for its world-class research, with faculty members bringing extensive nutritional expertise. The program includes substantial clinical placements, and through our established partnerships with healthcare providers across Cheshire and Merseyside, you'll acquire the hands-on experience needed for professional registration.

Prospective students are strongly encouraged to attend a Dietetics Awareness Event hosted by either the University or local NHS Trust partners. These sessions enhance understanding of the profession and provide valuable insights into a dietitian's daily work.

For those not pursuing the full MSc degree, a PGDip option is available.
