Enrollment begins with provisional PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) status, which remains probationary until completion of the first Annual Review, typically occurring 12 to 18 months after initial registration.
Program length
The standard duration for doctoral research is three years. However, exceptional students demonstrating accelerated progress may petition the University Research Committee for early submission after two years of study.
The University considers part-time enrollment applications and may approve them when instructional resources permit.
