The Garden History PhD is an intensive research program culminating in a dissertation and oral defense. This advanced degree focuses on developing and presenting significant, self-directed scholarly work, typically completed within three years for full-time students or six years for part-time study. Exceptional candidates may qualify for accelerated submission if they demonstrate outstanding progress.
