The University of Buckingham's distinctive tutorial-based approach forms the core of our psychology program's teaching methodology. In each psychology module, you'll participate in weekly small-group sessions with your instructor, limited to just seven students per tutorial. This intimate setting allows tutors to recognize you individually and motivate deeper engagement with course materials. These sessions also provide opportunities to clarify concepts, build peer relationships, and develop collaborative abilities. We structure tutorials as professional working meetings, emphasizing career readiness through required preparation and active participation.

The standard entry requirements for psychology are 128 112 UCAS Tarif points Alevel ABB-BBC or equivalent

Applicants with BTEC and similar qualifications are welcome to apply including if you have a mix of BTEC and A levels We also accept a wide range of international qualifications including International Baccalaureate You can use the UCAS website to calculate your tariff points to find out what your qualifications are or will be worth
Where an applicant is taking the EPQ alongside Alevels the EPQ will be taken into consideration and result in slightly lower Alevel grades being required
Applicants must also have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C Grade 4 or above or equivalent
If English is not your first language you will also need an IELTS score of 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each component Presessional and foundation options are also available to support English Language competency and preparation for Higher Education study
