The Italian Department is deeply dedicated to outstanding teaching and scholarly work. We foster a dynamic research environment through collaboration and encouragement, supporting both graduate research initiatives and faculty projects.
Our department explores Italian culture from interdisciplinary perspectives, pushing beyond conventional boundaries to expand understanding in our specialized fields. Presently, we excel particularly in modern/contemporary Italian literature, visual arts, and cultural history, as well as medieval literary and cultural studies.
