The PhD in Health and Wellbeing connects with the interdisciplinary South West doctoral program bearing the same title.
Through the South West Doctoral Training Partnership's Health and Wellbeing track, students gain essential skills for designing and assessing initiatives that enhance health behaviors. Your research will significantly influence the social science foundations of preventable health issues while strengthening research capabilities bridging biomedical and social sciences, both within academic circles and in broader contexts.
Each student receives guidance from two supervisors offering distinct disciplinary viewpoints on health and wellbeing. These supervisors will hold regular joint meetings and participate in the annual one-day workshop for all students in the program.
Typically, students enroll in the school of their primary supervisor, which may differ from the school handling your initial application.
