Aerospace engineering research at Bristol is structured through interdisciplinary research groups focusing on four primary domains:
Fluid Dynamics and Aerodynamics
Bristol Composites Institute (BCI)
Dynamics and Control Systems
Robotics
This research is backed by over 50 faculty members, more than 70 research personnel, and 240+ postgraduate students, along with a skilled administrative and technical support staff.
Aerospace engineering is a specialized field that combines experimental, computational, theoretical, and numerical research to address aerospace challenges, including fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, wind turbines, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Postgraduate researchers are expected to publish in top-tier journals and present at global conferences. Therefore, our programs seek independent, driven candidates.
