Gain insight into how life has evolved on Earth by exploring geology and biology. Our interdisciplinary programs offer comprehensive training in paleobiological sciences, incorporating cutting-edge techniques and technological innovations.
Study under leading researchers specializing in diverse areas from dinosaur studies to plant evolution and life's origins, with hands-on paleontological experience beginning in your first year.
The first-year curriculum consists of one-third biology and two-thirds earth science. Subsequent years combine core subjects from both fields. Your final year features a research project, specialized paleontology courses, and elective options to tailor your studies.
Available courses include: Marine Micropaleontology for climate reconstruction using microfossils, Macroevolution exploring large-scale evolutionary patterns, and Vertebrate Paleobiology with Biomechanics
The MSci program offers deeper exploration of advanced topics during an additional year, enhancing your professional qualifications or preparing you for research careers.
Our focus on quantitative methods helps build essential mathematical and statistical competencies. Students can also participate in volunteer opportunities and internships in our modern paleobiology labs.
Fieldwork is integral to the program, with specialized paleontology expeditions included in your course fees.
