This program offers extensive training in developing, designing, and implementing research projects. It aligns with the training guidelines established by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and is ideal for aspiring social science researchers or those preparing for a PhD in Management.

The curriculum provides a solid foundation in both qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques used in social sciences, along with key data analysis methods. It also explores the philosophical foundations of research, ethical issues, and social theory. Students will have opportunities to apply methodological training to their specific research interests.

Qualification Requirements

An upper second-class honours degree or international equivalent in any Social Science discipline will be considered. Examples include: Anthropology, Politics, Criminology, Education, Geography, History, Law, Communication Studies, Public Health, Management, Organisational Behaviour/Theory and Business Ethics. Applicants must have completed three modules at 2:1 or above in management related units including sociology/societal concepts. Examples include Management (HRM/Strategy/Governance), Organisational Behaviour/Theory, Corporate Culture, Business Ethics, Marketing, Sociology, Research Methods. OR An upper second-class honours degree or international equivalent in Sociology or Research Methods. Applicants with a lower class of degree with relevant work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Ielts - 7.0 overall with 6.5 in all skills
Toefl ibt - 95 overall with R22, L21, S23, W22.
