Epidemiology examines patterns of disease and health across populations. This field focuses on identifying causes - understanding why certain individuals get sick while others remain healthy - and developing strategies to address these factors. As the foundation of public health, clinical studies, and healthcare assessment, epidemiology plays a crucial role. The MSc in Epidemiology prepares students to tackle complex population health issues worldwide, offering comprehensive training in methods applicable across all economic settings. This program welcomes students from both medical and non-medical backgrounds.
The MSc curriculum covers fundamental epidemiological concepts and their applications in public health and related fields. Students will gain skills in designing and analyzing various study types, including investigations into causes, treatments, diagnostics, and outcomes. The program also explores advanced techniques in causal analysis and molecular epidemiology.
For their final project, students will produce a journal-style article and poster presentation on a chosen research topic, with potential for publication.
