This program mirrors the framework of our MEng Engineering Mathematics degree while offering the chance to study abroad during your third year, usually at an English-speaking institution. You can switch to this program anytime before your second year begins.

The initial two years establish a foundation in mathematical analysis, computing, and general engineering, all centered around mathematical and data modeling concepts. These core competencies will support your advanced studies in subsequent years.

A central theme throughout the curriculum involves solving practical problems across diverse fields, from robotics and digital platforms to healthcare and environmental science. Through these applied projects, which incorporate theories and methods from your coursework, you'll refine your modeling expertise while developing professional collaboration and communication abilities.

Your third academic year will be spent at one of our international partner universities. For more details about overseas study opportunities, visit the Centre for Study Abroad.

During your final year back in Bristol, you'll select from numerous specialized courses spanning engineering, mathematics, data science, and intelligent systems - allowing you to tailor your education based on your interests and international study experience. Instruction comes from leading researchers in these disciplines.

A capstone of the degree is your independent final-year research project, where you'll contribute to pioneering work in an area relevant to our program's stakeholders. This intellectually stimulating and rewarding challenge offers outstanding preparation for your professional future.
