Electrical and electronic engineering stands as one of the most expansive engineering fields, leveraging advanced technology to tackle key challenges in today's world. The need for qualified graduates continues to rise across sectors like consumer electronics, renewable energy, transportation, medical technology, and telecommunications.
The first two years establish core foundations in mathematics, computing, analog and digital circuits, communication systems, electromagnetism, power electronics, and control systems. During years three and four, students can select specialized modules, allowing focus on areas ranging from power distribution networks to wireless communication technologies.
Year three features a collaborative design initiative, while the fourth year centers on an independent research endeavor.
The MEng program fulfills all requirements for Chartered Engineer status. Its initial two years mirror the BEng curriculum, with transfers possible until year two's conclusion based on academic achievement.
Strong industry partnerships ensure outstanding career opportunities. Notable employers of recent graduates include Intel, BBC, Dyson, Jaguar Land Rover, Siemens, HP, EDF Energy, and numerous other leading organizations.
