This four-year program merges the first, second, and fourth years of our MEng Aerospace Engineering with an opportunity to study your third year at an English-speaking international partner university.
The initial two years focus on foundational content structured into three key areas:
aerodynamics
dynamics and control
structures and materials.
These specialized subjects incorporate aerospace applications and examples right from the first year.
You'll also develop interdisciplinary skills like computing, systems engineering, and design that apply across all three streams.
If you meet the academic requirements in your first two years and are selected, you'll spend your third year abroad at institutions in locations such as Sweden, the Netherlands, the US, Singapore, or Australia. Your international studies will align with Bristol's third-year curriculum. For more details on overseas study options, visit the Centre for Study Abroad.
You'll return to Bristol for your final year, selecting from various advanced topics. Options include specialized areas like computational aerodynamics, advanced composite materials, aircraft dynamics, space systems, or renewable energy. You may also opt to complete a research project.
This program blends the rigorous, comprehensive curriculum of our engineering courses with valuable international experience, mirroring the global nature of today's aerospace sector.
