The MA in English Literature is designed to enhance your love for literature while equipping you with the advanced, specialized skills needed for postgraduate research. The program features four specialized tracks, each reflecting the department's key research strengths:
Shakespeare and Early Modern Literature
Romantic and Victorian Literature
20th Century and Contemporary Literature
Literature and the Environment.
You can concentrate on a specific era by selecting one pathway, or opt for a broader literary exploration by mixing elective courses according to your preferences.

Qualification Requirements

An upper second class honours degree or international equivalent in English Literature or a related subject, and 60% or above in any dissertation/research component. In cases where an undergraduate transcript does not contain a research element such as a dissertation, we may ask applicants to provide an example of their academic writing that demonstrates capacity for independent research.
Ielts - 7.5 overall with 7.0 in all skills
Toefl ibt - 103 overall with R24, L22, S25, W24.
