Gain insights into how life has evolved on Earth by exploring geology and biology.
Study under specialists whose expertise spans dinosaurs, plant life, and life's beginnings, while diving into practical paleontology right from your first year.
Your initial year will focus one-third on biology and two-thirds on earth sciences, followed by core modules from both fields in subsequent years.
During your third year, you'll undertake an independent research project and choose from specialized paleontology courses. Current offerings include Marine Micropaleontology, where microfossils reveal ancient climates and ecological impacts; Macroevolution, teaching advanced methods for analyzing life's grand evolutionary patterns; and Vertebrate Paleobiology and Biomechanics, tracing vertebrate evolution from aquatic ancestors to modern humans. Additional elective modules let you tailor your studies.
Fieldwork is integral to the program, with paleontology-specific excursions covered by tuition fees.
The curriculum emphasizes quantitative research, strengthening your mathematical and statistical abilities. You'll also have chances to participate in volunteer work or internships within our cutting-edge paleobiology labs.
