Modeled after the Royal Academy of Engineering, this comprehensive program cultivates top-tier engineers capable of managing sophisticated engineering initiatives crucial to contemporary society.
Following an expansive foundational year, students can opt to focus on mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering, undertaking technical coursework alongside peers from these disciplines.
Distinctive modules during the initial two years equip students with critical abilities in problem identification, conceptual design, solution evaluation, and production/construction methodologies.
The third year offers a paid industrial placement that serves as an evaluated component of the curriculum, carefully supervised by the University. This experience accelerates progress toward Chartered Engineer status, with students assuming responsibilities comparable to graduate employees. Placement application assistance is provided.
During the fourth year, students select from diverse technical offerings across the Engineering Faculty, enabling deeper specialization and exposure to interdisciplinary subjects like AI, computational modeling, software development, and business innovation.
A substantial collaborative research and design initiative with industry partners anchors the final year, with project options spanning robotics, production systems, clean energy, urban development, and eco-friendly transportation.
This program holds accreditation from multiple Engineering Council-licensed institutions, ensuring graduates acquire the fundamental knowledge and competencies required for eventual IEng or CEng professional registration.
