This three-year program provides comprehensive and rigorous philosophical training that prepares students for advanced academic pursuits in philosophy and related fields.
The curriculum develops essential skills such as textual interpretation, articulate communication, and analytical reasoning - competencies highly sought after in diverse professional paths.
Your initial year establishes philosophical foundations through two core modules: one examining epistemological and metaphysical concepts, the other addressing ethical and political philosophy. Additional coursework includes logic and critical reasoning, plus optional modules like Value Theory Studies or Reality and Knowledge. First-year students may also select interdisciplinary electives.
The second year builds on these fundamentals with required courses while allowing deeper exploration of specialized areas from moral philosophy to linguistic philosophy.
During your final year, you'll have the opportunity to pursue independent research on a philosophical topic of your choice, producing a substantial paper with faculty guidance. Advanced seminars reflect departmental expertise across subjects from social justice theories to the philosophy of physical sciences.
