As a PhD candidate in Physiotherapy at the University of Brighton, you'll have access to diverse research methodologies spanning related disciplines such as musculoskeletal therapy and rehabilitation, exercise science and health, assistive technologies, mobility studies, and therapeutic intervention effectiveness.
Our program promotes investigations into clinical applications and treatment outcomes, the practitioner-patient dynamic, patient perspectives on conditions and therapies, as well as professional practice considerations. Therapeutic exercise represents another key research focus. Studies may be conducted in clinical or laboratory environments, employing either qualitative or quantitative methodologies. Additionally, we maintain robust educational research examining teaching methods and professional training.
