Our Master of Laws (LLM) program provides comprehensive expertise in legal studies within a global framework. You'll analyze cutting-edge research and scholarly work across diverse legal fields including human rights, immigration and refugee law, international finance, and environmental law. The curriculum offers both core subjects and elective courses, allowing you to customize your studies according to your academic passions and professional goals. You'll be taught by distinguished School of Law faculty members who possess extensive research backgrounds and practical international legal experience in domains such as social justice, criminal law, human rights, energy law, and intellectual property. Prior legal education isn't required for enrollment in the International Legal Studies LLM. Non-law graduates will complete a preparatory Introduction to Law course covering fundamental legal concepts and international/English legal systems before commencing the program. Beyond specialized legal training, the LLM develops universally valuable professional skills including research, analysis, and effective communication. The program also offers profound understanding of international law's role in shaping global affairs and our interactions within this framework, preparing graduates for diverse career paths across multiple sectors.
