Our three-year Games Design and Development program is meticulously crafted to align with today's gaming industry needs.
Focusing on the intersection of technical skills and creative design, you'll learn foundational concepts that shape the field while applying them in hands-on projects. This approach builds the professional expertise required to launch your career in this rapidly expanding sector.
You'll learn from faculty with real-world experience, including Carlton Reeve (commercial AR games consultant) and Peter Chapman (digital agency founder). Industry professionals like Michael Ogden, Iki Ikram, and Ben Smith will lead special workshops. This direct industry exposure gives you the confidence and competence to excel after graduation.

You'll have ongoing access to cutting-edge resources, including our Motion Capture Suite with six cameras and specialized equipment for skill development. These tools are also available for personal creative projects.

Your final year features a tailored studio project, allowing interdisciplinary collaboration to demonstrate the expertise you've gained throughout the program.

We maintain strong partnerships with leading organizations, including the Working Academy placement agency and Game Republic (Yorkshire's game industry network). These connections provide valuable extracurricular opportunities to enhance your professional profile and graduate as a highly sought-after candidate.
