The PhD in Geography (Urban and Regional Studies) is delivered through the Centre for Urban and Regional Studies (CURS), an ESRC-recognized institution for research training. This program offers flexible study options, available both full-time and part-time, and may incorporate coursework components. CURS provides this doctoral opportunity. Candidates can pursue this PhD either full-time or part-time, with potential coursework requirements. Interested individuals should submit applications detailing their research proposals. Our research training programs hold ESRC accreditation. Upon completion, graduates receive their PhD from the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. Qualification Requirements

Applicants for a degree by research should have at least a good Honours degree (minimum: upper second-class or equivalent). Students are not normally admitted to an MPhil or PhD degree without first having completed a taught Masters degree.
IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band
TOEFL: 80 overall with no less than 19 in Reading, 19 in Listening, 21 in Speaking and 19 in Writing
