This comprehensive 4-year program, delivered by Birmingham Medical School's research-active faculty, investigates human physiology alongside disease mechanisms and treatments. The curriculum spans all major bodily systems down to cellular and molecular scales, incorporating cutting-edge areas like stem cell applications and examining significant conditions including cancer and arthritis. Alongside scientific knowledge, you'll cultivate essential research competencies such as data evaluation, while examining critical ethical and societal considerations in medical science.
