Our Master of Science in International Development program enables you to examine the obstacles confronting both developing and developed nations in addressing global poverty, while also evaluating the potential benefits and limitations of various poverty alleviation strategies.
Through a required core module, you'll study development theories within their historical framework from post-World War II to modern times. These theoretical foundations are subsequently connected to current development practices and challenges. The program consistently encourages you to cultivate an analytical perspective on how development theories have transformed over the past fifty years and their relevance to contemporary development discourse.
You can personalize your learning experience by selecting five additional modules aligned with your professional goals and academic interests. Options include specialized courses in rural and urban poverty alleviation, conflict studies, gender issues in development, as well as practical subjects like project management, disaster response, and governance systems. A diverse range of other elective modules is also offered.
