Qualification Requirements

In order to be considered, applicants will have or should be expecting to achieve an Honours degree (2:1 or higher) or postgraduate diploma from a UK university (or overseas equivalent) in a highly quantitative subject.

Applicants must have achieved a mark equivalent to a 2:2 at undergraduate level in Mathematics or Mathematics related modules. If necessary we will assess the academic transcript for performance in Mathematics and Mathematics related modules. A minimum of GCE A-Level grade D (or overseas equivalent) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics or Statistics may also be considered to meet the quantitative requirement.
To undertake a programme of study here at the University, you will need to demonstrate that you have a good level of written and spoken English. You can demonstrate your level of English with IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications. English Language test certificates should be no more than two years old on the start date of your chosen programme. The sections below will tell you what grades you need in these qualifications for the subject area you want to study. TOEFL - 88 overall with no less than 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, IELTS - 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band.
