The MA Education (Leadership) program is designed for individuals who may not currently work in education but aspire to become educational leaders. It focuses on creating meaningful impact in schools through leadership approaches centered on learning and institutional enhancement. We encourage applications from both aspiring and experienced education professionals.
Educational leadership encompasses diverse roles such as school administration, curriculum development, advisory positions, teacher training, and educational technology integration. As part of the MA Education (Leadership) track, you'll join a research-driven community that explores and applies critical, practical understanding of evidence-based educational practices.
The program covers essential leadership competencies, knowledge areas, and traits of successful education leaders, along with strategies for school improvement. You'll interact with groundbreaking research in educational effectiveness and leadership, analyze real-world school challenges and improvement initiatives, and gain insights from accomplished West Midlands education leaders who share their practical expertise and leadership experiences.

Qualification Requirements
A 2:1 or above (or international equivalent) Bachelor's degree in Education, Teaching or English (or related Social Science degree i.e. Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Law, Linguistics, Political Science, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology) is required.
Applicants without a 2:1 or a degree in Education, Teaching or English (or related Social Science degree as above) are welcome to apply, but should have a degree and a minimum of three years relevant professional experience post degree, in an education-focused setting.
Speakers of English as a second language will be required to hold an IELTs 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each band or equivalent qualification.
toefl - 88 overall with no less than 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking and 21 in Writing
