The Master of Arts in Art History and Curating stands out as one of the UK's select postgraduate programs that enables students to collaborate with academics and museum experts on curatorial initiatives, including public exhibitions. Our program has recently partnered with prestigious institutions like the Barber Institute of Fine Arts through an exclusive collaboration with the Royal Collection Trust, as well as Grand Union, an Arts Council England-recognized organization focused on contemporary artists (Explore past student projects).

Instruction primarily takes place at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, a world-class gallery situated on the University of Birmingham grounds. Students engage in intimate seminar settings while expanding their knowledge. Learning occurs not just at our home gallery, the Barber Institute, but also across various campus and city exhibition spaces.
