Our distinguished Natural Sciences program caters to exceptional students seeking to explore multiple scientific disciplines at the undergraduate level.
Each scholar crafts a personalized curriculum blending arts, sciences, and/or social sciences. Your academic journey will focus on a primary subject (your Major) as your specialization, enhanced by diverse complementary subjects to create a distinctive knowledge portfolio. The program offers flexible graduation options, allowing you to earn a BA, BSc, MArt, MSci, or Natural Sciences degree through the same UCAS application (Liberal Arts and Sciences), depending on your chosen module combinations.

Admissions essay: Applicants will be asked to complete an admissions essay shortly after submitting their UCAS application.
IB Diploma: 32 points and admissions essay. Standard English language requirements apply.
Required subjects and grades: You do not require specific A-level subjects or IB higher level subjects to be accepted onto the course itself, but you may need specific subjects to study certain Majors after you enrol. For further details, please visit the Majors page. In some cases, a Major can be pursued without specific subjects provided you perform well in particular first year modules.
Extended Project Qualification: If you get an A or A* in your EPQ, we may make a reduced offer of AAA. In line with the University of Birmingham's policy, we can only make this reduced offer to applicants who put LANS as a Firm choice and who are not applying for deferred entry.
Irish leavers qualifications: H1 H2 H2 H2 H2, or H2 H2 H2 H2 H2 H2
TOEFL 88 overall with no less than 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking and 21 in Writing. IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in any band.
