The Social Policy and Criminology program allows you to examine how various societies generate differing levels of societal 'issues' and 'harms', including substance abuse, violent crime, housing insecurity, and occupational hazards. You'll explore why these matters are classified as either 'criminal' or 'social policy' concerns, leading to distinct approaches through either welfare systems or law enforcement.

Qualified students in this program may participate in a specialized placement during their second year. This component bridges academic learning with practical experience, enabling students to implement classroom theories in real-world settings.
