Examine the complete spectrum of English literary works while simultaneously investigating the societies and writings of classical antiquity. Engage with the rich tapestry of Greek and Roman civilization, connecting literary texts with theatrical traditions, mythology, religious practices, historical events, philosophical thought, and artistic achievements. This Joint Honours program provides comprehensive grounding in all principal literary periods and styles, allowing specialization in areas from medieval verse to contemporary digital literature. Additionally, you can enroll in our exclusive second-year Shakespeare course and potentially join our educational excursion to Stratford-upon-Avon.

For English Literature, A level English Literature or English Language and Literature grade A is required.

TOEFL 88 overall with no less than 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking and 21 in Writing. IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in any band. Pearson Test of English (PTE) - 67 with no less than 64 in all four skills.
