Our combined BA (Hons) Education and Sociology program at Birmingham offers an engaging exploration of both disciplines in equal measure (60 credits per subject at each level). This joint degree examines crucial modern societal challenges such as globalization, evolving workplace and family structures, gender dynamics, and cultural diversity. Students will gain expertise in sociological research methodologies while engaging with current theoretical discussions in sociology. The education component explores learning as a transformative process impacting human, cultural, economic, and social progress in our interconnected world. This interdisciplinary approach draws from psychology, sociology, philosophy, and historical perspectives.

BTEC Extended Diploma DDD, typical offers when offered in combination with A Levels: A in A Level plus DM in the BTEC Diploma, or AB in A Levels plus D in the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma.
International Baccalaureate Diploma: 655 at Higher Level (Plus 32 points overall).

Mathematics and English at GCSE grade C. Please note, a GCSE Science at grade C is preferred but not essential. (For students wishing to pursue a career in Primary teaching, it is essential to hold a GCSE Science at grade C).
