Course Content Our Professional Social Work Practice PgDip program develops expertise in sociology, social policy, and child/family social work practice. The Developing Professional Social Work Practice module forms the foundation, examining critical theories and advanced skills for direct client work while preparing students for their 70-day placement. You'll cultivate sophisticated communication techniques for navigating complex social work scenarios while critically analyzing contemporary human development theories, ethical frameworks, and intervention methodologies. The Reflective Social Work Practice unit enhances your professional capabilities during a 100-day statutory childcare placement, working alongside qualified practitioners. The Research Informed Child Care Practice module builds essential research literacy, teaching how to apply evidence-based approaches to real-world situations.
