Explore human health by examining disease origins, prevention methods, and treatments, from molecular processes to disease symptoms and pathology. This program prepares you to join the future wave of biomedical researchers, teaching you to apply biological sciences to investigate health conditions like cancer and Parkinson's disease. The curriculum covers diverse subjects including genetics, genomics, human physiology, pathology, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and pharmacology. Created jointly with our Department for Health and pharmacology experts from Life Sciences, you'll gain specialized insights into human biology and pharmacology for a deeper biomedical science foundation. During initial years, you'll complete core units from both departments, with elective options available in subsequent years.

Your application, especially your personal statement, should demonstrate your enthusiasm for studying biomedical sciences. You will need a strong performance in both Biology and Chemistry as part of your entry qualifications.
