The BA Textile Design program offers three specialized tracks, blending traditional, digital, and innovative textile design methods. This degree equips you to succeed in today's dynamic industry by exposing you to diverse professional settings and their required competencies. Learning occurs through hands-on projects, technical sessions, and insights from faculty research and industry practices. The curriculum also includes cultural studies, career development, business skills, and guest lectures from industry experts.
Students can choose among three specializations: Print, Knit, and Weave, while also exploring digital tools, sustainable practices, and unconventional design approaches. The program provides access to workshops featuring alternative surface techniques and emerging technologies. In your first year, you'll explore multiple pathways before selecting one for deeper focus in year two, guided by faculty. This specialization fosters both expertise and adaptability in design.

The standard entry requirements for this course are as follows
120 UCAS tariff points which can be made up of one or a combination of the following accepted full Level 3 qualifications
Three A Levels at grades ABC at least one subject must include Art Art and Design or Design and Technology
Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Level 3 or 4 and one A Level at grade C or above
Distinction Merit Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma preferred subjects include Art Art and Design or Design and Technology
Merit at UAL Extended Diploma
Access to Higher Education Diploma equivalent to 120 UCAS tariff points preferred subjects include Art Art and Design or Design and Technology
Equivalent EUinternational qualifications such as International Baccalaureate Diploma 26 points
And three GCSE passes at grade 4 or above grade AC
IELTS score of 6.0 or above, with at least 5.5 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
TOEFL IBT - valid for 2 years - Score Required - 80 - Listening - 17, Reading - 18, Writing - 17, Speaking - 20.
