The BA Fashion Design program features five specializations: Menswear, Womenswear, Print, Knitwear, and Communication. Each concentration provides a distinctive blend of design, historical research, and theoretical learning guided by industry-experienced tutors. The Knitwear specialization accommodates diverse creative methods within this expanding field. The UK maintains global recognition for knitwear design excellence, stemming from our historic role in wool commerce and textile machinery innovation. Recently, this domain has evolved from classic craftsmanship to include contemporary fashion, jersey garment construction, stretch fabrics, and intimate apparel. This specialization will acquaint you with these techniques and the utilization of global fiber materials in modern knitwear applications.

One of the following accepted full Level 3 qualifications
Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Level 3 or 4 and one A Level at grade C or above
Merit Pass Pass MPP at BTEC Extended Diploma preferred subjects include Art Art and Design or Design and Technology
Pass at UAL Extended Diploma
Access to Higher Education Diploma equivalent to 64 UCAS tariff points preferred subjects include Art Art and Design or Design and Technology
Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Level 3 or 4 plus equivalent EUInternational qualifications such as International Baccalaureate Diploma
And three GCSE passes at grade 4 or above grade AC
IELTS score of 6.0 or above with at least 5.5 in reading writing listening and speaking
TOEFL IBT - valid for 2 years - Score Required - 80 - Listening - 17, Reading - 18, Writing - 17, Speaking - 20.
TOEFL iBT Home Edition is NOT accepted.
