The BA (Hons) Critical Practice in Fashion Media program explores fashion media and communication through a critical, hands-on approach. This concept of critical practice involves utilizing fashion communication methods to drive positive societal transformation. Throughout the program, you'll examine fashion as a multifaceted force - social, cultural, political, and technological - capable of creating meaningful impact. You'll hone your abilities in analytical writing, visual storytelling, film production, exhibition design, community-focused projects, and strategic planning to advance causes related to social equity, racial justice, and environmental sustainability.

This interdisciplinary, practice-based degree approaches fashion media as a powerful instrument for critically examining, challenging, and addressing contemporary global issues. The curriculum emphasizes experimental methodologies that position fashion communication as a catalyst for change.

Central to this program is addressing the urgent challenge of climate change. As our world becomes increasingly volatile, the course defines critical practice as action-oriented engagement that seeks to reshape our reality. As future innovators, you'll cultivate a unique blend of analytical, creative, and technical competencies to not only adapt to our evolving landscape but also discover and activate new possibilities for substantial, lasting impact.
