The BA Costume for Theatre and Screen program at Wimbledon College of Arts immerses students in professional costume creation for stage, cinema, television, and live shows. This program provides two specialized pathways: costume design and costume interpretation. Grounded in the belief that costume artistry is a dynamic, evolving field, the curriculum prepares students to:
develop fundamental knowledge of costume essentials.
cultivate skills in both classical and innovative costume creation methods.
investigate cutting-edge media and digital visualization approaches.
Through hands-on collaborations, students acquire practical industry experience during their studies. The program has established partnerships with prestigious institutions including The National Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Windsor Castle.

The standard minimum entry requirements for this course are one or a combination of the following qualifications:
Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Level 3 or 4)
2 A Levels at grade C or above
Merit, Pass, Pass (MPP) at BTEC Extended Diploma
Pass at UAL Extended Diploma
Access to Higher Education Diploma
Or equivalent EU/International qualifications, such as International Baccalaureate Diploma at 24 points minimum
And 3 GCSE passes at grade 4 or above (grade A*-C)
Entry to this course will also be determined by the quality of your application, looking primarily at your portfolio of work, personal statement and reference.
IELTS level 6.0 or above, with at least 5.5 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
TOEFL IBT - valid for 2 years - Score Required - 80 - Listening - 17, Reading - 18, Writing - 17, Speaking - 20.
