The BA Ceramic Design program offers a specialized, one-of-a-kind design education. This course celebrates and pushes the boundaries of clay as both an artistic medium and functional material. Through hands-on learning and tactile exploration, students develop design skills by directly working with materials. The curriculum encourages applying ceramic techniques across various design scenarios and creative possibilities. Our approach to design centers on strategic thinking and methodology, fostering investigative processes driven by curiosity about clay's potential in artistic and demanding settings. This leads to diverse conceptual outcomes and numerous creative uses, spanning from custom-crafted pieces to large-scale sculptures, performance art, installations, and industrial design solutions. Learners can shape their artistic identity through multiple perspectives, whether as designers, artisans, craftspeople, or fine artists.
Available as a three-year full-time program or four years with an additional Diploma in Professional Studies

Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art Design Level 3 or 4 and 1 A Level at Grade C or above
2 A Levels at grade C or above preferred subjects include Art Art and Design or Design and Technology
Merit Pass Pass MPP at BTEC Extended Diploma preferred subjects include Art Art and Design or Design and Technology
Pass at UAL Extended Diploma
Access to Higher Education Diploma preferred subjects include Art Art and Design or Design and Technology
Equivalent EUInternational qualifications such as International Baccalaureate Diploma 24 points
And three GCSE passes at grade 4 or above grade A C
