Boost your bachelor's degree by adding a year-long placement in industry, business, or research. Developmental Biology combines biological and medical sciences to study how our body's tissues and organs form. This program offers comprehensive training in contemporary biology, covering everything from classical morphology and experimental embryology to cutting-edge techniques in genetics, cell biology, stem cell research, and biotechnology.
Studies in Developmental Biology play a key role in finding treatments for genetic disorders like cancer and lead breakthroughs in medical science, including stem cell therapy, regeneration, and tissue healing.
During your fourth year, you'll complete a 12-month professional placement. After five years, you'll earn an MSci (Master of Science undergraduate degree) rather than a BSc.
