Boost your bachelor's degree by adding a year-long placement in industry, business, or research. During your initial two years, you'll explore diverse medical science topics and scientific research techniques. You'll also sharpen your critical thinking and build teamwork and communication skills through collaborative projects and presentations.
In years three and five, you'll delve deeper into developmental biology. This field plays a pivotal role in finding treatments for genetic disorders like cancer and leads breakthroughs in modern medicine, including stem cell therapy and tissue regeneration.
Your fourth year will be dedicated to an industrial placement, allowing you to graduate after five years with an MSci (Master of Science) rather than a BSc. Placement opportunities vary widely, but typically let you gain hands-on experience in industrial, commercial, or research settings, strengthening both your academic knowledge and career prospects.
