Boost your bachelor's degree by completing a year-long placement in industry, business, or research. During your initial two years, you'll explore diverse medical science topics and research methodologies. You'll also sharpen your analytical thinking and build teamwork and communication skills through collaborative projects and presentations. Specialized anatomy studies await in your third and fifth years at the University of Aberdeen, which features cutting-edge facilities in the Suttie Centre at Foresterhill Health Campus. Beyond conventional cadaver-based instruction, we offer innovative 3D anatomy tools that enhance classroom learning through virtual reality integration.
Your fourth year will be dedicated to an industrial placement, leading to an MSci (Master's-level undergraduate degree) after five years rather than a standard BSc. Placement opportunities vary widely, but typically let you gain hands-on experience in corporate, industrial, or laboratory settings - giving you valuable real-world skills that complement your academic studies and improve career prospects.
